Hunt on for 'cut-throat' robber

■Police officers checked with several shops, including money changers, in the hope to get clues to the robbery.
Police are on the lookout for a South Asian man in what's become known as the "cut-throat robbery."
The attacker is alleged to have slashed a popular money changer in the neck and several other areas before fleeing with his possessions.
The actual loss is still unknown as the money changer, surnamed Yip, 76, remains in a critical condition.
Several officers were seen scouring several areas in Sham Shui Po yesterday for evidence and clues. Some of them retraced the route Yip had taken and checked the CCTV footage of shops along Yu Chau Street.
Staff in money exchange shops in the district have been warned to be careful while carrying or moving large amounts of cash.
Police suspect the culprit followed Yip after he got off work to a quiet place before accosting and robbing him.
It is believed that he was attacked in front of 161 Yu Chau Street.
The owner of a meat shop in the vicinity said Yip worked seven days a week.
He barely took any days off.
He said Yip was the only person willing to exchange HK$1,000 notes for neighbors when Hong Kong was hit by the fake HK$1,000 scare last year.
