HKC&ED Seminar on effective ongoing monitoring system and certain new provisions of prohibited unfair trade practices under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance (12/05/2014 & 13/05/2014)

The Money Service Supervision Bureau of the Customs and Excise Department is going to organize seminars for Money Service Operators in respect of the importance of an effective ongoing monitoring system and certain new provisions of prohibited unfair trade practices under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance on 12 and 13 May 2014.

The objectives of the seminar are:
(1) to draw the participants' attention to the importance of an effective ongoing monitoring system and how it helps the MSOs to know their customers and to detect money laundering and terrorist financing activities; and
(2) to brief the participants certain new provisions of prohibited unfair trade practices under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.

The enrollment arrangement for the seminar is set out as follows:
